Goong, my neighbor’s son, is a unique seventeen-year-old even for Thailand: hard-working, respectful, helps his little brother, irons his clothes, a good student who always works with the family at harvest time. He seems to honor the eight Buddhist precepts in his life.
These third graders are playing computer with books propped open for the screen and keyboard. Thais in my village use the word ‘notebook’ rather than ‘computer’

- My ukulele gals: Fern, Gaow, Dah and Parn. What could be sweeter than 14 year old girls learning, laughing and playing the ukulele!

Love your pics and commentary! Never thought Goong was old enough to drive (here).
Aren’t the Thais a beautiful people! I’m so glad you have taken so many pictures. You have recorded many wonderful memories. Luv – Lynne
