So, if your husband has a high demand career in Bangkok and the children are raised, how would you fill your time? There are endless possibilities. Last weekend, I was fortunate to be a Peace Corps Volunteer, working with these women who have a commitment to help girls in Thailand.
There were twelve different schools, each with their English teacher, who came for the weekend. The one-hundred and thirty + high school aged students receive ‘scholarship’ help from the AWC to attend school and this camp. They participated in learning English activities for two days and culturally ‘exchanged’ their local customs with dances, exquisitely staged and costumed.
One of the most enjoyable activities I’ve experienced in Thailand because doing things with American Women meant it was planned, well-thought-out, organized – just like this event would be back in the States. Furthermore, it was an awesome collection of remarkable women who were taking action for a cause they believe in.
Words aside, I think I’ll just post some photos. . . .

…and that’s what it’s all about! Wooo!!
Looking gorgeous as usual!
